consumer reports released their latest computer ratings last tuesday,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], with the new macbook airs topping their 11″ and 13″ laptop categories, as well as earning the coveted “recommended” stamp of approval.
the 11″ macbook air scored a 67 out of 100, which in consumer reports-ese means it earned their “very good” rating. the 11″ model scored “very good” in the ergonomics and display criteria towards its final score. additionally, the 11″ scored “fair” in versatility and speakers, and “good” in performance. (full disclosure: the 11″ list only consists of two laptops.)

the only consumer reports laptop category where apple does not appear is the 14″ category, simply because apple does not produce a laptop in that size.
the 13″ macbook air faced stiffer competition, but still topped its category, receiving a 78 out of 100. it merited “very good” in performance, display, and ergonomics, “good” in speakers and “fair” in versatility. joining it in the 13″ category are the macbook pros, with the 2.4 ghz model also receiving the “recommended” checkmark.
