SSP is an outreach program of the Women’s, Gender & Sexuality Studies department that helps low-income parents prepare to be successful college students. 2001 Self-Sufficiency Program graduate Dr. Alisha Amann was this year The fundraiser helps support scholarships for SSP, a program that helps low-income parents prepare to be successful college students. “When you give to the Self-Sufficiency Program’s Locally Grown Scholarship, you pay it forward, because these nine scholarship recipients will do the same with their education and their future contributions to the community as a whole,” said Self-Sufficiency Program Director Amy Sullivan at the annual breakfast fundraiser Oct. 12 in the Cleary Alumni & Friends Center.
